Overview
Employee ID and password. No email required.
Design the profile with your own fields (employee code, department, office), choose which ones people sign in with, and create the accounts yourself.
Assign a role, the channels appear.
Link roles to channels: give someone “Apollo team” and they join #apollo-launch at once; remove it and they leave.
A log nobody can edit.
Sign-ins, failed sign-ins, role changes, transfers and deletions go to an append-only audit log, filterable by person and action.

Announcement channels that stay announcements.
Channel owners can let only selected people post. Everyone else still reads and reacts.

Add a field.
Admin → Fields → Add field: “Employee ID”, number, required, unique.

Sign in with it.
Admin → Authentication: choose Employee ID as a login field.

Create a role.
Admin → Roles → New role “Apollo team”, and link

FOR ADMINS
The details IT asks about.
- Sign-in protection.
- Repeated failed sign-ins are throttled, and new accounts must change their password on first login.
- Locked out? Not the CEO.
- A server-side recovery command restores access.
- Leavers.
- Deactivating a person ends their sessions, cancels their meetings and pending LAN transfers, and stops their transfer links, while keeping history.
- Permanent delete.
- The CEO can delete a deactivated account and everything it owned, confirmed by typing the name.
- No escalation.
- Permission changes take effect at once, can’t grant more than the person granting has, and are audited.

Can someone edit the audit log?
Not from the app. It’s append-only and lives in your database for your own auditors.
What happens when someone leaves?
Deactivate them: sessions end, their meetings are cancelled and their transfer links stop working.
Can a channel owner restrict posting?
Yes. “Who can send messages” can be set to selected people.
Is there a role for everyone?
Yes. The built-in Everyone role sets what every member can do.
