Desk to desk, at network speed.

Send a file straight from your computer to a colleague’s over the office network. It never uploads to a server, and both of you see it arrive.

The server never sees the file.1

Overview

Same network, checked first.

Smack confirms you’re both on the same network before anything moves.

They accept, it moves.

Your colleague gets a prompt with the file name and size and chooses where to save it.

Verified on arrival.

Each file is checksum-verified, and program files carry a warning.

Use cases

  • ENGINEERING

    Builds to the test bench.

6 GB of build output to the next desk.

  • VIDEO

    Raw footage to the editor.

Camera files without a cloud round-trip.

  • IT

Disk images to a new laptop.

Images move at network speed, not at internet speed.

Does it work between offices?

It works when both computers are on the same local network.

Is there a size limit?

Not in Chrome, Edge or Brave. Firefox and Safari have a browser cap.

Is the transfer encrypted?

Yes, over an encrypted direct connection between the two computers.

What if we’re not on the same network?

Smack offers to send it as an attachment or a transfer link instead.

STRAIGHT ACROSS THE OFFICE.
