Create a channel and post your first message

Set up a channel for a project, bring the right people in and post the first message.

  1. Step 1: Create the channel.

    Click + next to Channels and choose Create channel.

  2. Step 2: Name it and choose who sees it.

    Type apollo-launch, pick Public or Private, and press Create.

  3. Step 3: Add people.

    Choose Add people and pick Jonas and Hana, or link a role.

  4. Step 4: Write and format.

    Type your message and use the toolbar for bold, lists or code. Press Enter to send.

    Tip:Messages over 4,000 characters are sent as a message.txt file automatically.

  5. Step 5: React and mention.

    Hover a message, add ✅, and type @here to reach everyone online.

  6. Step 6: Put it where you want it.

    Drag #apollo-launch to the top of your sidebar.

That’s it.

Your channel has the right people in it, a first message to start from, and a place at the top of your sidebar.
